Conditional Table Rules (not published)

What are Conditional Table Rules?

Conditional Table Rules are rules set up to run at the data table level. These rules are applied universally to a given data table based on the conditions set and supersede rules set at the page level throughout your components. If you are looking to set up rules that always apply to your data table upon edit or creation, Conditional Table Rules are the solution for you.

Conditional Table Rules are available under the Pro, Premium, Bronze, and Enterprise plan structures.

Conditional Table Rules can be found within a data table’s Rules tab.

  2. When: Set up record-based conditions for the rule to run. If you’d like your rule to run on certain records within your data table, this is where you can ensure that those conditions are defined.

  4. Enable: Manage your rule. You can enable or disable your rule to determine whether the rule will run when the conditions are met. Additionally, the Drag button enables you to rearrange the order of your rules and the Remove Rule button enables you to delete rules.

After managing your rule(s), be sure to click the Save button before navigating away from the Rules tab.

Properties of Conditional Table Rules

Please note the following two properties of Conditional Table Rules:

  • They run after rules defined in your forms, action links, and tasks. If you have a Conditional Table Rule set to run on a field, all other actions are performed prior so the result will reflect the result of the Conditional Table Rule.

  • When a rule is set to run on edit, all forms of editing a record will trigger the rule including importing via matching, update via other rules, and inline editing. Similarly, when a rule is set to run on creation, all forms of creation of a new record will trigger the rule.
