PDF Forms

Introduction

Hey everybody, it's Tim from Tadabase here. Today we're shining a spotlight on PDF forms.

What Are PDF Forms?

PDF forms allow us to take record values or data from within our application and feed it directly into a PDF. We can then output that PDF by clicking on an action link.

How to Set Up PDF Forms

  1. Accessing PDF Forms:

    • PDF forms are located under the Automation tab, specifically under PDF forms.
  2. Uploading and Configuring PDFs:

    • Once you upload a PDF, you can add placeholders of different types, such as text, checkbox, image, and signature.
    • These placeholders can be assigned names, adjusted for size and position, and customized with text styling.

Filling the PDF Form with Data

  1. Setting Up the Action Link:

    • In the Action Link, select the action type "Fill a PDF Form."
    • Choose the PDF you uploaded and set all PDF values to match record values or custom values using a dropdown menu.
  2. Generating and Saving the PDF:

    • Once the action link is clicked, the PDF is generated with the filled-in data. You can then save or use the PDF as needed.

Conclusion

Say hello to Sparky, everybody! Thanks for watching!
